NUS EMBA Class of 2007
Managing Director
Aeras Medical & SmartRx
Where are you now?
Since the NUS EMBA, I have started three companies: Aeras Medical, a medical devices distribution company, and we developed a vital signs monitoring solution that secured the IHiS National Vital Signs programme; Jade Culture, which designs and crafts haute couture jadeite jewelry that has become highly sought after pieces at auction houses such as Sotheby’s; a new startup that revolutionises remote dispensing of medicine, allowing remote teleconsultation and collection of medicine without the need to go to a clinic or hospital, anytime and anywhere, and is being deployed in hospitals, military, dormitory and in the community.
How has the NUS EMBA helped shape where you are and what you’re doing now?
The NUS EMBA has given me additional confidence and perspective to build MNCs across Asia. It has helped catalyse my dream of running my own companies, and to date I have started three companies while leveraging my own resources without any external funding. I’ve been able to do more innovative and game-changing ventures in healthtech, which I hope to benefit the local ageing population.
