NUS EMBA Class of 2001

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Dibiz Pte Ltd

Where are you now?

After 22 years as CEO of a palm oil company, I turned entrepreneur at the age of 54. I run 2 companies now: Sumwin, a process technology company that adds value to agri downstream products; and Dibiz, a blockchain technology startup with a vision to transform global palm oil supply chains.

Since completing the NUS EMBA, I have also taken the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2015, a truly transformational experience that helped me to become an entrepreneur. It gives me great satisfaction that my current work can help create a better world.

How has the NUS EMBA helped shape where you are and what you’re doing now?

The NUS EMBA was my first comprehensive management programme and the learnings from it helped me build up my former company to USD200m. The programme’s Asian perspective helped me immensely. I continue to network with NUS Business School and am honoured that Prof Prem Shamsadani is on the Advisory Board of Dibiz.
